SANFORD WINERY BLOCK DESIGNATED WINES
For the first time since the founding of Sanford Winery in 1981 we have bottled a trio of “block designated” wines. These wines are true rarities and are representative of specific vineyard blocks we wanted to highlight. The 2006 vintage, which marked our 25 year anniversary, was a kind of “Goldilocks” year, everything was “just right”: even growing conditions, balanced yields, good acidity and bright flavors. Quality was excellent across all our vineyard sources, but certain blocks performed extraordinarily well and screamed to be bottled separately.
Block Designated wines are limited production wines.
