Sanford Winery has been producing delicious cool climate Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County since 1981. One of our two estate vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills, Rancho La Rinconada, has been a super-star in producing opulent barrel fermented Chardonnay that is both bursting with tropical and citrus fruits and has an elegant structure of high acidity and minerality. This vineyard is the largest component of our Santa Barbara County blend and is the sole source for the La Rinconada and La Entrada Chardonnay. The Sta. Rita Hills are proving to be every bit as special for Chardonnay as for Pinot Noir.
