Sanford Sauvignon Blanc
Sourced from exclusively from the McGinley Ranch in Happy Canyon at the east end of the Santa Ynez Valley, this aromatic and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc was hand harvested on August 15, 2014. After whole cluster pressing, half of the juice was fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures, and half was fermented in neutral French Oak and aged in barrel for 8 months. This medium bodied wine has aromas of passion fruit, guava and honey dew melon. On the palate this is a lively wine with bright fruit, crisp acidity and minerality that lingers on its long finish. This Sauvignon pairs well with a wide range of cuisines, especially shell fish and dishes with goat cheese and tarragon.
