Sanford Fleur du Domaine

After a three year hiatus, we listened to our Sanford fans and brought the very popular "Fleur du Domaine" back! Our 2013 vintage is the first to include Marsanne in this exotic white wine. Inspired by the great wines of France's Northern Rhone Valley, this wine is a blend of Marsanne and Rousanne from the esteemed Demetria vineyards high in the hills above Foxen Canyon in the Santa Ynez Valley and our own estate-grown Viognier. To preserve the alluring spicy floral character of our "Fleur du Domaine," French for wild flower, we barrel fermented and aged in neutral French Oak barrels. The resulting full bodied wine offers stone fruits (peach and nectarine) along with exquisite floral notes of honeysuckle and jasmine. The rich palate is balanced by crisp acid and complex minerality. This is a white wine with so much texture that our Pinot-only lovers truly enjoy it!
