The 2022 Block 5 Pinot Noir is bright and mineral but conveys a textural sense of grace and elegance. Red fruits, black tea, cinnamon, and rose petals add complexity, mixed with a sensual palate, considerable finish, and overall balance. This vintage tastes lovely now but has a very long future ahead of it.

Block 5 is a steep, rocky, north-facing slope of the renowned Sanford & Benedict Vineyard. Unlike the rocky and coarse soils that it grows in, this site gives us a wine that is fine, elegant, and with lots of intrigue.
