Sanford Dominio Del Falcon Pinot Noir

One of our most cherished, elegant wines, Dominio Del Falcon is named for a pair of falcons who chose this block for their nest. Clone 2A is planted in a powdery, loamy soil, high in diatomaceous earth, resulting in a bright, seamlessly beautiful wine.
Tasting Notes: Earthy and spicy red fruits, with floral notes. Silky tannins give delicious integration to the structure of this wine. Approachable now, it has the backbone to age gracefully for the next 10 to 12 years.
92 Points: "Also all from the La Rinconada vineyard and named for a pair of falcons who chose this vineyard block for their nest, the 2016 Pinot Noir Dominio Del Falcon saw the standard 35% new French oak for 15 months prior to bottling. It's a slightly bigger, richer wine and offers lots of black raspberry, blackberry, and cherry fruits as well as plenty of brambly herbs, spice, and incense aromas and flavors. Rounded, medium to full-bodied, balanced, and sexy on the palate, drink it over the coming 7-8 years or so." - Jeb Dunnuck
