Sanford La Rinconada Pinot Noir

Each year, we select individual barrels from the best blocks from our La Rinconada vineyard for this prized bottling. These blocks are all high on the hill east of the winery and give great intensity, complexity, and structure. 2016 was the fifth year of a severe drought and the resulting wines are concentrated with balanced acidity and silky tannins. Enjoy now or age for the next 10 years.
93+ Points: "The 2016 Pinot Noir La Rinconada spent 14 months in 35% new French oak. Its beautiful perfume of spiced raspberries, crushed flowers, sappy rose petals, and crushed rock-like minerality gives way to an elegant, silky Pinot Noir that stays tight and focused on the palate. With an almost Burgundian sense of purity and vibrancy, give it a year or two and enjoy over the following decade." - Jeb Dunnuck
